WASHINGTON, July 31 -- Rep. Steve Buyer, R-Indiana, has introduced a bill (H. R. 3223), to "amend title 38, United States Code, to improve the Department of Veterans Affairs contracting goals and preferences for small business concerns owned and controlled by veterans."

The bill, introduced on July 15, was co-sponsored by Rep. John Boozman, R-Arkansas. It was referred to the Veterans' Affairs Committee.
