Article: I-17 WIDENING REQUIRES TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF SOUTHBOUND FRONTAGE ROAD, ROSE GARDEN ON-RAMP

PHOENIX, July 31 -- The Arizona Department of Transportation issued the following news release:

As work to add new lanes to Interstate 17 in the north Valley moves into the homestretch, a portion of the southbound freeway frontage road south of Deer Valley Road and the southbound on-ramp at Rose Garden Lane will be closed for approximately three months starting this weekend.

The Arizona Department of Transportation says freeway widening work will require the closure of the southbound I-17 frontage road between Deer Valley Road and Rose Garden Lane as well as the southbound Rose Garden on-ramp from early Sunday morning (August 2) until late October.
