WASHINGTON, Aug. 3 -- Rep. Jerry Moran, R-Kan. (1st CD), issued the following news release:

Congressman Jerry Moran gave the following statement today following a press conference he attended at Fort Leavenworth to speak against the transfer of terrorist detainees from Guantanamo Bay detention facility to the United States Disciplinary Barracks at Fort Leavenworth. The press conference was held following media reports yesterday stating the Obama Administration is considering Kansas or Michigan for the new site to house Guantanamo Bay terrorist detainees.
