Article: METHOW VALLEY FIRE UPDATE

OKANOGAN, Wash., Aug. 1 -- The U.S. Department of Agriculture's U.S. Forest Service unit - Okanogan National Forest - issued the following press release:

Firefighters from the Methow Valley and Tonasket Ranger Districts are positioned to respond to new fires as they continue with mop-up and patrol work for fires ignited during this weeks lightning storms. Hot temperatures, dry weather and lightning are expected through the next week.
