ALEXANDRIA, Va., Aug. 4 -- Richard Croyle, Mytchett, Great Britain, has developed a universal serial bus circuit. The inventor was issued U.S. Patent No. 7,533,209 on May 12.
The patent has been assigned to Nokia Corp., Espoo, Finland.
According to the abstract released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "The invention relates to universal serial bus circuits utilized in USB devices and universal serial bus (USB) hubs. Specifically, the invention relates to circuitry used to detect whether the hub or device is connected to a USB host, i.e. to detect connection status of the device or hub.
