ALEXANDRIA, Va., Aug. 4 -- Chih-Heng Su of Kao-Hsiung, Taiwan, and Hung-Chun Yeh of Hsinchu, Taiwan, have developed a controller for sensing a heavy load. The inventors were issued U.S. Patent No. 7,545,126 on May 12.
The patent has been assigned to Anpec Electronics Corp., Hsin-Chu, Taiwan.
According to the abstract released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A method capable of sensing a heavy load and a short circuit of a low dropout regulator includes providing a ramp pulse signal to the low dropout regulator, providing a square waveform, comparing a feedback signal of the low dropout regulator with the square waveform, and determining the low dropout regulator is a heavy load ...
