ALEXANDRIA, Va., Aug. 6 -- Seong-Won Lee, Seongnam-si, South Korea, has developed a removal method of poisson false color noise in low-light images. The inventor was issued U.S. Patent No. 7,570,833 on Aug. 4.
The patent has been assigned to Nextchip Co. Ltd., Seoul, South Korea.
According to the abstract released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "Disclosed are an image processing method capable of effectively removing noise contained in an image photographed in a low light environment by using statistical information, and a system thereof.
