WASHINGTON, Aug. 1 -- Rep. Brian N. Baird, D-Wash. (3rd CD), issued the following press release:
Today, Congressman Brian Baird (D-WA-03) held a town hall meeting with more than 6,000 constituents, discussing a wide variety of issues, including the proposed health care legislation. Baird, who was recently called the "The King of Town Halls" by one local television station has now held well over 300 town halls, both in person and via new media technologies, like telephone town halls. A recording of today's telephone town hall will be posted on the Congressman's website in the coming days, and Congressman Baird will hold several more town halls in the coming days and weeks.
