WASHINGTON, Aug. 6 -- Rep. Silvestre Reyes, D-Texas (16th CD), issued the following news release:
Congressman Silvestre Reyes (D-TX) today announced that he helped secure $115,709,000 in funding for several critical projects for the El Paso community in this year's House-passed appropriations bills. The 12 appropriations bills provide the annual discretionary funding for the United States government. The bills still require final conference approval by the House and Senate before they are sent to the President's desk.
Among the largest projects for the El Paso community was $91 million for the construction of inspection facilities for the new Tornillo-Guadalupe port of entry. Other major ...
