Article: CALHOUN COMMUNITY COLLEGE MOVES TO 4 1/2 DAY SCHEDULE FOR FALL SEMESTER

DECATUR, Ala., Aug. 6 -- John C. Calhoun Community College issued the following news release:

On the heels of the successful pilot of a four-day work week this summer, Calhoun Community College officials today announced that the college will go to a four-and-a-half day schedule beginning August 24, the first day of fall classes for the college.

The decision to move to a four-and-a-half day schedule this fall was reached after the college conducted a cost analysis of energy savings during the five-week pilot of this summer's altered schedule which showed a savings of close to $40,000 in energy costs.
