Article: POLICE CHIEF MIKE HALPHEN REMINDS MOTORSISTS ABOUT SCHOOL ZONES

BOSSIER CITY, La., Aug. 7 -- The city of Bossier City issued the following news release:

As Bossier City schools get ready to begin a new school year on Wednesday, August 12, 2009 Chief Mike Halphen is reminding everyone that school zone enforcement will once again be in effect. Starting that day officers will be stationed across the city issuing tickets to motorists who choose to speed in activated school zones.

To help remind motorists that school zones will resume on Wednesday, Chief Halphen has arranged for the flashing lights to be activated Monday and Tuesday at various school zones in the city during the morning and afternoon hours when the school zones are enforced. Citations will ...
