ALEXANDRIA, Va., Aug. 10 -- Thomas G. Andrikowich of Whitinsville, Mass., and Michael C. Strzepa of Shrewsbury, Mass., have developed an apparatus for sealing a hard disk drive with a low-density gas. The inventors were issued U.S. Patent No. 7,570,454 on Aug. 4.

The patent has been assigned to Maxtor Corp., Scotts Valley, Calif.
