Dehradun, Aug. 11 -- Only two of the 14 families, members of which have been killed or are missing in the landslide and flash floods triggered by a cloudburst in Uttarakhand's Pithoragarh district on Saturday, have reportedly been contacted by the administration for compensation while the remaining 12 are yet to receive any Government notification, sources said on Monday.

Twenty-two bodies of the 43 trapped in the storm debris have been found since Saturday. Of these, 21 were cremated and one sent for post mortem, the Pithoragarh DM said.
