Article: CHICAGO MAYOR OFFICE ISSUES MAYORAL ORDINANCE REGARDING ISSUANCE OF 2009 SALES TAX REVENUE REFUNDING BONDS

CHICAGO, July 29 -- The Office of the Mayor of Chicago issued the following text of a mayoral ordinance:

WHEREAS, By virtue of Section 6(a) of Article VII of the 1970 Constitution of the State of Illinois (the "State"), the City of Chicago (the "City") is a home rule unit of local government and, as such, may exercise any power and perform any function pertaining to its government and affairs; and

WHEREAS, Pursuant to a Trust Indenture, dated as of March 1, 1997 (the "Original Indenture"), between the City and The Bank of New York Mellon Trust Company, N.A. (as successor to J.P.
