ALEXANDRIA, Va., Aug. 12 -- Tzy-Jian Yang and Kuan-Ming Lin, both of Taipei, Taiwan, Shing-Hung Lee of Kaohsiung, Taiwan, and Shyhtsun Felix Wu of Davis, Calif.,have developed a method of string matching for uniform data classification. The inventors were issued U.S. Patent No. 7,574,742 on Aug. 11.

The patent has been assigned to Industrial Technology Research Institute, Hsinchu, Taiwan, and University of California, Oakland, Calif.
