Article: Sen. Cantwell Introduces United States-China Market Engagement and Export Promotion Act

WASHINGTON, Aug. 12 -- Sen. Maria Cantwell, D-Washington, has introduced the United States-China Market Engagement and Export Promotion Act (S. 1616), legislation that would "authorize assistance to small- and medium-sized businesses to promote exports to the People's Republic of China."

The bill was introduced on Aug. 6. It was referred to the Banking, Housing, and Urban Affairs Committee.
