Article: TEXAS ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGE COMMISSION TO CONTINUE MINOR STING OPERATIONS FOLLOWING TWO-MONTH SUSPENSION

AUSTIN, Texas, Aug. 11 -- The Texas Alcoholic Beverage Commission issued the following news release:

In June 2009, following the arrest of TABC agent Joe Chavez, the Texas Alcoholic Beverage Commission (TABC) temporarily suspended minor sting operations statewide, pending a review of agency policy and procedures. At the time, Alan Steen said, "I want to ensure that TABC has the proper controls in place to protect the safety of the participants, the retailers and the general public."
