LAUDERDALE LAKES, FL -Dan Holmes, Community Development Director for the City of Lauderdale Lakes, has been appointed to the Board of Directors of the Smart Growth Partnership; a collaborative of diverse professionals and organizations created to provide leadership, education, gold to promote livable and sustainable communities in Broward County. Holmes was also recently selected to be a featured speaker at the annual meeting of the Florida Chapter of the American Planning Association, scheduled for September in Jacksonville, Fla. He will be speaking on the State Road 7 Collaborative as an example of regional planning / collaboration, and the promotion of smart growth principles.
