Article: Boyd Group earns biggest quarterly profit ever

THE Winnipeg-based collision repair company Boyd Group Income Fund produced its largest quarterly profit ever and record second-quarter revenue.

Although same store sales in its network of 89 collision repair stores in western Canada and the U.S. Midwest were down 5.7 per cent during the quarter, the addition of new stores added earlier this year helped boost revenue 9.3 per cent for the quarter to $55.4 million.

Total profits were up 146 per cent to $2.1 million compared to the same period last year.
