ALEXANDRIA, Va., Aug. 14 -- Tetsuro Motoyama of Cupertino, Calif., and Avery Fong of Castro Valley, Calif., have developed a method for for extracting information related to a monitored device. The inventors were issued U.S. Patent No. 7,574,489 on Aug. 11.

The patent has been assigned to Ricoh Co. Ltd., Tokyo.
