ALEXANDRIA, Va., Aug. 14 -- James A. Petersen of Gainesville, Ga., Brian Porter of Watson, Okla., and Robert Scott of Fort Smith, Ark., have developed a method of counting poultry carcasses. The inventors were issued U.S. Patent No. 7,572,176 on Aug. 11.

The patent has been assigned to Bettcher Industries Inc., Birmingham, Ohio.
