SAN DIEGO, Aug. 15 -- The U.S. Navy issued the following press release:

By Mass Communication Specialist 2nd Class (AW) Jeremy M. Starr, Commander, U.S. 3rd Fleet Public Affairs

Commander, U.S. 3rd Fleet received a new command master chief (CMC) Aug. 10.

Command Master Chief (SW/AW) JoAnn Ortloff relieved Senior Enlisted Advisor, Master Chief Intelligence Specialist (SW/AW) Robert M. Sekach as 3rd Fleet's newest CMC.

Third Fleet is Ortloff's third command as CMC. Her two former CMC tours were USS Milius (DDG 69), and she most recently served at U.S. Naval Hospital Guam.

"It's an incredible privilege and an exciting opportunity that I take on very seriously, and I'm honored," said Ortloff.
