Moving halfway across the country to take the reins of a 100-plus-year-old post-secondary educational institution isn't an easy learning curve to navigate by anyone's standards.

But Brandon University's new president and vice- chancellor, Deborah Poff, is prepared to take on the challenge.

On the job for little more than a week after relocating to Brandon from Prince George, B.C., earlier this month, Poff tells the Sun she's ready to dive straight into a community dialogue about the possibility of establishing a medical studies graduate program at BU.
