Article: CHINESE STUDENTS RECEIVE WARM WELCOME FROM LOUISIANA STATE UNIVERSITY, BATON ROUGE COMMUNITY

BATON ROUGE, La., Aug. 14 -- Louisiana State University issued the following news release:

LSU and Baton Rouge City-Parish Government officials welcomed 11 LSU international students from China on Thursday, Aug. 6.

Irma Plummer, assistant chief administrative officer to Mayor-President Kip Holden, and John Hu, a volunteer representing the Baton Rouge Center for World Affairs, Inc. International Visitors Program, officially greeted the students, who were part of the LSU Walt Disney World International Program. The students will study in collaboration with the LSU College of Education Department of Kinesiology and LSU Continuing Education.
