Manchester's other team blows $180M on strikers, have nary a playmaker
It doesn't make a lot of sense to read the standings before the season starts. The first ball has yet to be kicked, after all, and the teams are listed alphabetically. Manchester City, however, are unlikely to improve much on their current position.
Ahead of today's English Premier League kickoff, the Citizens are 12th in the table and on the outside looking in at the European places. They might as well get used to it.
