ALEXANDRIA, Va., Aug. 27 -- Manish Kothari and John Batey, both of Cupertino, Calif., Teruo Sasagawa of Los Gatos, Calif., Ming-Hau Tung of San Francisco, Gregory D. U'Ren of Berkeley, Calif., Stephen Zee of San Jose, Calif., and Alan G. Lewis of Sunnyvale, Calif., have developed a microelectromechanical system device with an electrical interconnect. The inventors were issued U.S. Patent No. 7,580,172 on Aug. 25.

The patent has been assigned to Qualcomm Mems Technologies Inc., San Diego.
