HAYWARD, Calif., Aug. 27 -- California State University East Bay issued the following press release:

California State University, East Bay is one of the best colleges and universities in the West, according to The Princeton Review. The education services company, which publishes guides for college-bound students, selected CSUEB as one of 123 institutions it recommends in the "Best in the West" section in its online feature "2010 Best Colleges: Region by Region." The designation, announced July 27, marks the sixth consecutive year that Cal State East Bay has been recognized as one of the region's best universities.
