RALEIGH, N.C., Aug. 21 -- The North Carolina Department of Cultural Resources' Arts Council issued the following news release:
Best-selling authors including thriller novelist John Grisham and children's book author R.L. Stine are coming to the Tar Heel state.
Native North Carolina novelists Gloria Houston and Clyde Edgerton along with former state Poet Laureate Fred Chappell and current state Poet Laureate Kathryn Stripling Byer will be reading their work at one of five book festivals scheduled in September.
With so many writers living and working in North Carolina, it's no surprise to find an abundance of literary festivals that celebrate their craft.
