ALBANY, N.Y., Aug. 17 -- New York State Sen. Ruben Diaz Sr, D-Bronx (32nd District), issued the following news release:

This morning, New York State Sen. Reverend Ruben Diaz (D-Bronx), Assemblyman Marcos Crespo (D-Bronx) and Bronx Borough President Ruben Diaz, Jr. welcomed Executive Directors, Chief Executive Officers and Chief Financial Officers from twenty-two not-for-profit organizations to announce the Senator's discretionary fund allocations for 2009. Assemblyman Jeffrey Dinowitz (D-Bronx), Chair of the Assembly Aging Committee also attended the event.
