HOLLOMAN AIR FORCE BASE, N.M., Aug. 25 -- The U.S. Air Force Air Combat Command issued the following press release:

Gen. John D.W. Corley, commander of Air Combat Command, recently announced the 49th Fighter Wing received the Meritorious Unit Award for the period of April 30, 2008, to May 1, 2009.

"It is an honor to have such dynamic professionals as members of the Air Combat Command team," General Corley wrote in a letter to Col. Jeff Harrigian, 49th Fighter Wing commander. "It is a privilege to recognize such excellence."
