WESTMINSTER, Colo., Sept. 2 -- The town of Westminster issued the following news release:

09-02-09 Update: The Westminster Hills Open Space remains closed until further notice due to plague risks on advice from Jefferson County Public Health. The dog park at 105th and Simms remains open.

08-12-09 Update: The Westminster Hills Open Space will remain closed for the rest of August due to plague risks on advice from Jefferson County Public Health. The dog park at 105th and Simms remains open. Jeffco Health officials will re-test the area at the beginning of September. If no fleas are found at that time, the site could be re-opened.
