BOONE, N.C., Sept. 2 -- Appalachian State University issued the following press release:
Fiction writer and essayist Ann Pancake will present "Voices from Under the Mine: A Reading from the novel 'Strange as This Weather Has Been'" Sept. 14 at 7 p.m. in Appalachian State University's I.G. Greer Auditorium. Admission is free and the public is invited to attend.
The event is sponsored by the Center for Appalachian Studies in celebration of its 30th anniversary and by University College and the Department of English. For more information, call 828-262-4089.
