Article: Patent No.7,582,026 Issued on Sept. 1, Assigned to Sports for Golf Ball (Japanese Inventors)

ALEXANDRIA, Va., Sept. 5 -- Kazuya Kamino, Seiichiro Endo and Tsutomu Hirau, all from Kobe, Japan, have developed a golf ball with a reinforcing layer. The inventors were issued U.S. Patent No. 7,582,026 on Sept. 1.

The patent has been assigned to SRI Sports Ltd., Kobe-shi, Japan.

According to the abstract released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "Golf ball has a spherical core, a reinforcing layer positioned outside of the core and a cover positioned outside of the reinforcing layer.
