GENEVA, Sept. 5 -- Cameron Allan Shute, Ernest Dawson McCrank, Robert Erik Moore, Paul Matthew Palfreyman and James William Rogers - all from Canada, have developed a heel unit for alpine touring binding. The patent has been assigned to G3 Genuine Guide Gear Inc., British Columbia, Canada. According to an abstract posted by the World Intellectual Property Organization, in the present invention an "alpine touring heel unit is provided which comprises a base for mounting the heel unit and an upper portion with a heel connector.
