ST. PETERSBURG, Fla., Aug. 31 -- The city of St. Petersburg issued the following news release:
Today, city and community leaders joined officials from the GTE Federal Credit Union to break ground on a new financial institution in Midtown, realizing the last of four initial major goals of the community's Midtown Economic Development Initiative that Mayor Rick Baker launched shortly after taking office in 2001 by bringing a full-service financial institution to the neighborhood.
A new 3,000-square foot GTE Federal Credit Union is now under construction on the southeast corner of 22nd St. and 18th Ave. S. The new credit union will offer complete residential and business banking services to the ...
