Article: Patent No. 7,582,305 Issued on Sept. 1, Assigned to Combi for Antidiarrheal Agent (Japanese Inventors)

ALEXANDRIA, Va., Sept. 8 -- Wakoto Bukawa, Noritaka Matsubara and Takumi Watanabe, all from Saitama, Japan, Kazunari Ushida of Nishinomiya, Japan, Takamitsu Tsukahara of Kawanishi, Japan, and Tatsuhiko Kan of Sayama, Japan, have developed an antidiarrheal agent for livestock and poultry. The inventors were issued U.S. Patent No. 7,582,305 on Sept. 1.

The patent has been assigned to Combi Co., Tokyo.

According to the abstract released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "The present invention is to provide a safe antidiarrheal agent and a method for suppressing diarrhea by which an efficient antidiarrheal effect is achieved without using antibiotics or synthetic antibacterial ...
