dean of education at Collge universitaire de Saint-Boniface, has been appointed to the United Nations Economic and Social Council's Expert Group on Competences in Education for Sustainable Development. The mandate of the group, composed of 19 members worldwide, is to prepare a policy framework as well as define a range of core competences in ESD for educators that can be applied in countries around the world. The work of the expert group on Competences in ESD is considered an important contribution to the United Nations Decade of Education for Sustainable Development.
