GENEVA, Sept. 9 -- Yoshikazu Nakayama, Kaori Hirahara and Ryosuke Senga, all from Japan, have developed a carbon nanotube support and production process.

The patent has been assigned to Japan Science and Technology Agency, Saitama, Japan.

According to an abstract posted by the World Intellectual Property Organization, the invention relates to a "carbon nanotube nanodevice using small-diameter carbon nanotube having a single-layer, two-layer or other structure produced by virtue of strong carbon nanotube fixation treatment under high vacuum of an atmosphere having a very low residual hydrocarbon content.
