ALEXANDRIA, Va., Sept. 11 -- Donald R. David of Raytown, Mo., and Ronald W. Borst of Kansas City, Mo., have developed an overfill prevention valve for shallow tanks. The inventors were issued U.S. Patent No. 7,584,766 on Sept. 8.

The patent has been assigned to Clay and Bailey Manufacturing Co., Kansas City.
