WASHINGTON, Sept. 9 -- The U.S. Department of Justice's U.S. Attorney's office for the Eastern District of Louisiana issued the following press release:
SHAWNZELL VENSON, age 37, of New Orleans, pled guilty to one count of conspiracy to steal approximately $600,000 government funds and wire fraud involving elderly individuals' Road Home grants, announced U. S. Attorney Jim Letten.
According to the factual basis, in the summer of 2007, Special Agents with the Federal Bureau of Investigation and Department of Housing and Urban Development Office of Inspector General conducted an investigation of five separate incidents in which the bank routing instructions on Road Home grantees' closing ...
