ALEXANDRIA, Va., Sept. 17 -- Chen-Hung Chan, Jhongli, Taiwan, has developed a dead pixel real-time detection metho. The inventor was issued U.S. Patent No. 7,589,770 on Sept. 15.
The patent has been assigned to Altek Corp., Hsinchu, Taiwan.
According to the abstract released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A dead pixel real-time detection method for image applicable in a digital camera is provided. The method is utilized to achieve the real-time detection of dead pixels in an image, upon obtaining the image by the digital camera, thus locating the dead pixel desired to be repaired.
