Article: PIDC to sell shares, tap debt for expressway

THE consortium that would build the Tarlac-Pangasinan-La Union Toll Expressway (TPLEx) said it plans to partially finance the project through debt and equity.

In a disclosure to the Philippine Stock Exchange, DMCI Holdings, Inc., said that Private Infra Devel Corp.'s (PIDC) will spend P19.4 billion to build the TPLEx, P10 billion of which will be raised through debt while another P6.5 billion is though equity.

TPLEx is a 88-kilometer highway project that would link Metro Manila to northern parts of Luzon. The tollraod will extend from La Paz, Tarlac to Rosario, La Union.
