ALEXANDRIA, Va., Sept. 23 -- Kenton C. Hasson and Gregory A. Dale, both of Gaithersburg, Md., and John P. Keady of Fairfax Station, Va., have developed a method for monitoring the amplification of deoxyribonucleic acid molecules. The inventors were issued U.S. Patent No. 7,593,560 on Sept. 22.

The patent has been assigned to Canon U.S. Life Sciences Inc., Rockville, Md.
