Article: PENNSYLVANIA NATIONAL GUARD TO SUPPORT G-20 SUMMIT

HARRISBURG, Pa., Sept. 22 -- The Pennsylvania Department of Military and Veterans Affairs issued the following news release:

Under the direction of the U.S. Secret Service, more than 2,500 Pennsylvania National Guard soldiers and airmen will support local, state and federal agencies by providing security and mission support during the G-20 Summit in Pittsburgh, Sept. 24-25.

Missions will include serving as a regional response force, augmenting law enforcement personnel, performing crowd control, providing traffic control, and assisting with security.
