Article: NEW ENGLAND FIRMS PARTNER TO ADDRESS CLIMATE CHANGE

BOSTON, Mass., Sept. 24 -- The Environmental Protection Agency issued the following press release:

EPA's Climate Leaders program announced that Raytheon Company, headquartered in Waltham, Mass., was one of three industry partners recognized recently for meeting their greenhouse gas (GHG) emission reduction goals. Raytheon is one of 29 New England companies that have made commitments to reducing GHGs under this EPA program.

Raytheon's accomplishments include finding cleaner sources of energy, reduced energy consumption, increased production of renewable energy and retired old equipment, all in an effort to reduce their contribution to climate change.
