ALEXANDRIA, Va., Oct. 3 -- Kees R. Kooijmans of Zoetermeer, Netherlands, and Karl E. Sewalt of Schiedam, Netherlands, have developed a sealing plug for sealing hollow flotation element. The inventors were issued U.S. Patent No. 7,594,590 on Sept. 29.

The patent has been assigned to Deceuninck NV, Hooglede-Gits, Germany.

According to the abstract released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "The present invention provides a sealing plug for liquid-tight sealing off hollow flotation elements of a strip for a cover of a liquid-filled container.
