ALEXANDRIA, Va., Oct. 3 -- Gerald Garotte of Echalou, France, and Fabrice Petit of Flers, France, have developed a retractable device for enabling a motor vehicle seat to slide. The inventors were issued U.S. Patent No. 7,594,634 on Sept. 29.
