ALEXANDRIA, Va., Oct. 5 -- David L. Detlefs of Westford, Mass., Antonios Printezis of Burlington, Mass., and Fabio Rojas of Chelsea, Mass., have developed a method for byte allocation accounting in a system with a multi-threaded application. The inventors were issued U.S. Patent No. 7,596,667 on Sept. 29.

The patent has been assigned to Sun Microsystems Inc., Santa Clara, Calif.
