GENEVA, Oct. 5 -- Nicole Margaret Verrills and Kathryn Grace Roberts, both of Australia, have developed an inhibition of c-kit cancers.
The patent has been assigned to NEWCASTLE INNOVATION LTD., New South Wales, Australia.
According to an abstract posted by the World Intellectual Property Organization, the invention relates to a "method for inhibiting c-KIT in a cancer cell, comprising treating the cancer cell with an agent for up regulating protein phosphatase 2A activity in the cancer cell.
