ALEXANDRIA, Va., Oct. 6 -- Derek A. Ladd of Acushnet, Mass., Edmund A. Hebert of Fairhaven, Mass., Herbert C. Boehm of Norwell, Mass., and Michael J. Sullivan of Barrington, R.I., have developed a golf ball with a diameter. The inventors were issued U.S. Patent No. 7,591,742 on Sept. 22.
The patent has been assigned to Acushnet Co., Fairhaven.
According to the abstract released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "The present invention encompasses a golf ball having a diameter and being comprised of a core and a cover, wherein the core is further comprised of a fluid mass at the center of the ball, and a first, solid, non-wound mantle layer surrounding the ...
